Elissa’s Bio
Elissa Harris has 15 years of experience sharing her career transition and career management knowledge with thousands of individuals during one-on-one coaching. She facilitates conversations with professionals from a variety of corporate backgrounds, and shares strategic and tactical steps required to successfully engage in a career transition.
She is passionate about partnering with her clients to achieve their career goals through clarifying career interests, devising personalized job search plans, creating compelling resumes/cover letters, preparing for networking, and practicing interviewing. Elissa is known for providing personalized, actionable and candid advice.
Through EGH Career Coaching, Elissa also serves as a Career Coach for Wharton’s MBA Career Management office, a Resume and LinkedIn Reviewer for Landit, a Senior Career Consultant with mbaMission and an Alumni Career Coach for UCLA Anderson.
Prior to launching EGH Career Coaching
Elissa spent 7 years as a Senior Associate Director in the Wharton MBA Career Management office. She engaged in discussions with recruiters and coached hundreds of students interested in pursuing careers in a variety of industries. Elissa partnered with her students to share actionable advice on achieving their short and long-term goals. In addition, she set the strategic vision for a portfolio of 20+ small and large group career education workshops and led the office's student communication strategy.
Elissa also served as a Consultant in the People, Performance and Solutions division of Towers Perrin and oversaw the Los Angeles office’s MBA recruiting efforts. She interned in brand management at Neutrogena, and began her career in Washington DC as a Consultant at the Advisory Board Company, a health care research and consulting firm.
Education
Elissa holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson and a BA with Honors in History from Washington University in St. Louis. While at UCLA Anderson, Elissa was selected as a Co-Director of Pre-Term, served as a committee member planning A-Days (admitted student weekend) and was a student admissions reader.
